Summa, Summa, Summatime

Hello all! Sorry that I suck at updating this thing. I’ve been extremely busy, and the blog has not been a top priority.

So, what’s new in my life? Well, I started a new job about two weeks ago. It’s only part-time, but it’s some extra cash for the summer. I’m also attending summer classes. Those are keeping me pretty busy. Right now, I’m taking Fundamentals of Speech, and we are currently in our last week. My last day is Thursday. Yay! Unfortunately for me, no summer vacay just yet. I start Music Appreciation on the 6th of June and that runs until the 3rd of July. I’m actually looking forward to that class, because I like music. I hope it’s a fun class.

I have no big summer plans as of yet. My brother and Em are coming up to visit the 5th through the 10th and I’m very happy to see them. I have missed them terribly! Other than that, my summer is looking pretty boring. I am going to try to go camping and kayaking this summer, so at least that gives me something to look forward to! :D

My life is pretty boring, sorry to say. Hahahahahaha! I wish I had more to tell you about, but there isn’t a lot going on. Still married, still a student, still child free! Hahahahaha!

Me Encanta México

Hola peeps! Hope everyone is having a great week! I was having a great one until I had to come home. I went from sunning myself in the warm temps of Mexico, to freezing my buns off in the midwest.

The Mr. and I went on our belated honeymoon last week and it was amazing. I didn’t want to come home. We stayed at the Now Sapphire Resort in Cancun and it was paradise. Mexico is such a beautiful place. Our resort was right on the water, so we spent every day hanging at the beach or snorkeling.

Here are a few pictures from our stay.

These are just a few pictures I managed to snap on my phone. I have a few more pictures that I will upload later. The weather there was absolutely gorgeous. I would live there if I could, but only in the winter. I hear it gets miserably hot there in the summer. The food at our resort was phenomenal. They had a seafood restaurant that made the most amazing fish tacos. Anyone who knows me, knows I don’t like fish, but these fish tacos were excellent. I would eat them every day.

Dave and I loved our stay so much, we’re already planning our next vacation. It probably won’t be until after I graduate, but at least it gives us both something to look forward to. We haven’t decided on a location yet, but we were thinking either the Dominican or a cruise. Looks like we’ll have to start saving our pennies.

It’s been hard readjusting myself back to reality, but I’m slowly managing. Thank goodness the weekend is almost here. I need another vacation. Hahahaha!  I hope everyone has a great weekend and stays warm. The weather here has been absolute shit ever since we came back. I knew we should have “missed our flight.”

March Madness

Okay, so I REALLY suck at updating my blog. That’s what happens when you’re busy with school work.

“So, what’s new in your life”, you might ask. Well, not a whole lot, really. I’m currently in the middle of my second semester at school. Classes are going really well, and midterms are coming up in a few weeks. I’m hoping to make it through the next two months. After that, I have four weeks of summer classes, then I’m done until August.

In less than two weeks, Dave and I will be jetting off on our honeymoon. This trip is 18 months in the making and I can’t believe it’s almost here. I remember booking our vacation last year and hating how long we had to wait until we got to go. Dave told me, “It will be here before you know it.” He was right.

I will have to post an update when we get back. Until then, I’ll just have to suffer through the cold. Seriously, this is the longest winter ever. Is it Spring yet? Stay warm, y’all!

New Year, New Start

Well, it seems I’ve all but abandoned this poor blog. My apologies to anyone who actually reads it.  I plan on starting up again with the entries and will try to keep everyone updated with what’s going on.

Hope everyone had a great holiday season, since I missed out on all the major holidays. My Thanksgiving and Christmas were both great. Dave and I went to Denver a few weeks ago as an early Christmas present for us and had a blast.  We are planning to move there once I graduate from school.

Speaking of school, I finished my first semester. I passed all my classes, which is freaking awesome. The best part is that I passed my math class. Anyone who knows me, knows I’m terrible at math. I was so stoked to finally get that weight off my shoulders. Spring semester starts January 13, and I’m looking forward to it.

I’m just 76 days from my honeymoon and I’m getting so excited. After a year and a half of marriage, we’re finally taking one. It will be nice to get away from reality for a week and soak up some sun. I can’t wait!

I hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year. Please be safe. If you’re going to drink, designate a sober driver. I want to be able to entertain all of you with my sarcastic tones in 2014.

Don’t forget: You can also follow me over on my sports blog. *coughshamelessplugcough* Hahahahaha!

Happy Anniversary

Holy crap, we made it a whole year without killing each other. Hahahaha! This past Sunday, Dave and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary. That year went by crazy fast. Saturday night, we went out to dinner at a nice restaurant and Sunday, we watched football. It was perfect.

School is going good. I’m in my 4th week and the homework is piling on. Oy vey! I’ve got a few tests coming up, and I’m not looking forward to them. I’m terrible at tests. Wish me luck.

I can’t believe I’ve been writing this blog for an entire year. It’s been fun documenting my first year of marriage and I hope to document many more.

Back to Football

Thank you, Breesus! Football is back! The last 213 days have been absolute torture. I’m so happy my favorite sport is back in full swing. Last night, Dave’s Broncos took on the Defending Super Bowl Champion, Baltimore Ravens. It was one hell of a game. Dave’s Broncos served up a hearty ass whooping on the Ravens. Of course, he’s happy. My team takes the field this Sunday and I CANNOT wait! I’m anxious to see my Saints kick the Falclowns’s asses! Coach Payton returns from his year-long suspension and Rob Ryan will showcase his new defense. Let’s just hope they look better than last year. Blargh.

The next four months are going to be pure bliss. I’m looking forward to it!

Back to September

Happy September everyone! Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend. I can’t believe the year is 3/4 of the way over. It seems like time is flying by faster than we can enjoy it.

Yesterday was Dave’s birthday so he and I spent the day doing things he wanted. Early in the morning, he went mountain biking with his brother. After he got back, I took him to lunch. We went mini-golfing after lunch and he kicked my butt. I never was the athletic type. Hahahaha! We finished the night with dinner and renting movies. He had a great birthday, and I’m glad I got to spend it with him.

This week starts my second week of school. Classes are going good so far. I have class Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Not bad for my first semester. I hope I don’t get overwhelmed.

September is an awesome month in our household. Yesterday was the Mr.’s birthday, football starts in three days, and we’re less than two weeks from our first anniversary. That also means I’ve been entertaining people with this blog for a year now. Not that anyone is reading this anyway. Hahaha!

I hope everyone has a great September. Only 6 months until my honeymoon. Hahahaha!
